Juanita Ishmael Bennett

Juanita Ishmael Bennett, age 68, of Paris, KY, wife of Robert Bennett, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025.
Born on May 26, 1956, Juanita was the daughter of the late Robert and Ardie Mitchell Ishmael. She was a devoted homemaker whose love for her family—and for strangers alike—was a true reflection of the kind and generous person she was. Her kindness and gentle spirit made her one of the sweetest souls anyone could hope to meet. Always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement, she was there for others in their times of need, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness.
Juanita was a faithful and active member of Trinity First Church of God in Paris, KY. Known lovingly as “Nene” to all her nieces and nephews, her name was spoken with affection and symbolized the special place she held in their hearts. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her little puppy, Hershey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Bennett; one son, Austin Bennett; and one grandson, Parker Bennett. She also leaves behind one sister, Lisa (Billy) Heflin; one brother, Brian (Cathy) Ishmael; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bennett; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Bennett and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jason Bennett; two brothers, Jeffery Ishmael and Estell Ishmael; and one sister, Virginia Hardin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Trinity First Church of God in Paris, KY, with Brother Vernon Adams and Brother Todd St. John officiating. Burial will follow at Millersburg Cemetery, Millersburg, KY.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Trinity First Church of God, Paris, KY.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Ishmael, Tyler Ishmael Justin Ishmael, Timmy Hawkins, Roger Peters, and John Hardin. Honorary pallbearers were James Michael Heflin and Joshua Ishmael.
The family would like to thank the Bluegrass Care Navigators for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
Juanita will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her faith, warmth, and giving spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
