Arvis Wayne “Bud” Barber

Arvis Wayne “Bud” Barber, age 85, of Lexington, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Bud was born in Fayette County on March 12, 1939, the son of the late Arvis and Mary Frances Gregory Doty, owned his own home improvement business and was a member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Barber and John Thomas “J.T.” Barber.
Surviving is a daughter, Sheri (Robbie) Younger; two grandchildren, Savannah Shelby Rae Younger and Mackenzie Noelle (Chad) Shepherd. Also surviving is a great grandchild, Everly Grace Shepherd; an uncle, Sonny Gregory; a sister-in-law, Joyce Barber; and a special friend, Dana Stephens.
The visitation for Arvis Wayne “Bud” Barber will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bedford Acres Christian Church with the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Dean Scott will officiate with interment following in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
