Christopher Allen “Freakshow” Powell

Christopher Allen “Freakshow” Powell, a man cherished for his spirit and passion for life, passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 35. Christopher was born into this world on January 18, 1990, and brought an unyielding joy that would be remembered by all who knew him until he passed in Paris, KY.
He was raised with love by his mother, Deenise McCoy Waller, and stepfather, Kenneth Walle, alongside his three stepchildren, Devon, Aiden, and Gavin, who brought immense happiness to his life. Christopher was also the proud brother of Thomas “T.C.” (Tabi) Hutchison, Brandon Waller, Hanna Waller, and Danielle Morgan. His life was further enriched by the wisdom of his grandparents, Brenda Smits, and Mary Ann and Jerry Sanders.
The family tree he leaves behind includes his cherished aunts and uncles, Darlene (Dennis) Helton, Duane McCoy, Brian (Marilyn) Powell, Shane McCoy, and Tracey (Amber) Martin, who were instrumental in his upbringing. Christopher was a doting uncle to his nephews, David and Damien Hutchison. The family bond extended to his first cousins, Austin Powell, Tanner Powell, Hunter McCoy, Drew Martin, Cory Martin, Riddick McCoy, and Josee McCoy, as well as several special cousins and a host of friends who will deeply miss his presence.
Christopher built his life as a carpenter, endowing his work with the same joy and precision that characterized his existence. His love for the outdoors was paramount; he relished in camping, fishing, and kayaking, which brought tranquility to his adventurous soul.
Christopher’s legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and an eternal love for the world around him. Though he is preceded in death by his father Ronald Wayne Powell, grandfather Donnie McCoy, girlfriend, Angela Hall and special cousin Josh Martin, his memory continues to resonate in the hearts of many. Christopher Allen Powell will forever be remembered as a beacon of light that shined brightly, leaving an indelible mark on this earth. His journey through life’s waters was both captivating and inspiring, illustrating the beauty of a life well-lived.
A memorial service was conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday May 24, 2025, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Pastor Krista Hampton. Visitation was from 12:00 PM Saturday May 24, 2025, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
The family asks that memorials may take the form of contributions to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
There will be a celebration of life at his aunt Darlene’s home immediately after the service at her home on 288 Mt. Airy Ave, Paris, KY.
