Wilburn Lee Burden
Wilburn Lee Burden, age 79, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, Kentucky. Wilburn was born in Bourbon County, KY on February 3, 1946, the son of the late Estill Lee and Ethel Pansy McCarty Burden, was a laborer for many years, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors mowing, doing yard work, and farming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Louetta Sears, Juanita Hood, Mae Jennens, Leona Gwinn, Phyllis Harney, Virginia Smith, and a grandchild, Tristin Lawhun.
Surviving are his children, Lisa (Keith) Chalk of Fairfield, Ohio, Chris (Stephanie) Burden of Hillsboro, Ohio, Brenda (Harold) Coleman of Friendship, IN, Randy Burden of Friendship, IN, Steve Combs (Jenny) of Dry Ridge, KY, Jennifer (Josh) Combs of Seven Mile, Ohio, and Erin (Shane) Lawhun of Dry Ridge, KY. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings Harold (Laura) Burden, Elbert (Clara) Burden, and Jackie (B.J.) Burden.
The visitation for Wilburn Lee Burden will be at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 to 1:00 with service to immediately follow with Pastor Dwayne Harney officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with casket bearers being Randy Burden, Steve Combs, Chris Burden, Cameron Strittholt, Lucas Lawhun, and Bryson Combs.
