Connie Faye Mazza Yazell, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, left this world on November 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Born on October 8, 1947, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Connie was a beacon of warmth in the lives of those she touched. She grew up as a shining example of hard work and dedication, characteristics that followed her throughout her life.
Connie spent her formative years in the Texas educational system, graduating from Belton High School. There, she was not merely content with academics but excelled, becoming a proud member of the National Honor Society. Her commitment to educational excellence was a trait she would carry with her, imprinting upon her family the value of knowledge and determination.
As she journeyed through life, Connie embraced the roles of housewife and mother with unyielding devotion. Her grace and beauty also found a professional outlet in her work as a beautician, where she brought joy and confidence to countless individuals. Connie’s versatility was further demonstrated in her work in retail, where she shared her keen insight and compassionate demeanor with both colleagues and customers alike.
Connie’s life was one of loving partnership with her husband, the late Gary Yazell Sr., whom she missed dearly after his passing. She was also preceded in death by her beloved parents, Anthony and Irene Mazza; her cherished daughter, Michelle Williams; and her dearest sister, Toni Kay Mazza. Despite these profound losses, Connie’s spirit remained undimmed, as she continued to be a pillar of strength for her family.
Her loving memory will be forever treasured by her surviving daughter, Angela Williams; her stepson, Gary Yazell Jr. and his wife Sandy; and her siblings, Charles Mazza (Patty) and Tania Mazza. Her legacy will flourish through the lives of her adoring grandchildren, Tara Mortinson, Trevor Rice, Ebony Williams, Elexis Williams, Anthony Spivy, Olivia Mendez, Kali Nichols, Kingston Williams, Stephanie Willoughby, Michael Yazell, and Brandon Yazell, and her great-grandchildren, each of whom learned the power of compassion and kindness through her example.
Connie’s unwavering love and influence extended beyond her immediate family, touching friends and extended family members who found solace and guidance in her presence. Even those who knew her but briefly were touched by her generosity of spirit.
Connie lived her life as a testament to love’s enduring power, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire and motivate those she has left behind. Her enduring wish would be for each of us to hold our loved ones a little closer, laugh a little louder, and cherish each moment as she so fervently did.
Though the sun has set on Connie Faye Mazza Yazell’s earthly journey, her light remains aglow within the hearts of those who loved her. Her story does not end with her passing but carries on through the lives of generations who will continue to cherish her memory, uphold her values, and live out the lessons of her well-lived life.
