Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Burke Willoughby

Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Burke Willoughby, 71, wife of Raymond Willoughby, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born March 10, 1954 in Nicholas County to the late Raymond and Imogene Smoot Burke, Libby was a devoted homemaker and a member of Barterville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches and western movies.
Additional survivors include a brother, Allen (Bonnie) Burke of Carlisle; four sisters: Wanda (Jim) Eades of Lexington, Judy Burke, Becky (Mack) Evans and Gail (Timmy) Jefferson, all of Carlisle; four nephews: Nathan Eades, Jimmy (Mindy) Eades, Josh (Shyanna) Evans and Shawn (Destiny) Evans; two nieces, Kayla Jefferson and Morgan (Trae) Clark; seven great-nephews: Brayden, Walker and Parker Evans, Asher Garren, Liam and Elijah Clark, and Gibson Eades; and two great-nieces, Emily and Bayleigh Evans.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Bonnie Burke.
Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, January 29th at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Bro. Troy Miller with burial to follow in Carlisle Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Thursday, Jan. 29.
