Bettie Bruce Hall Ritchie
Bettie Bruce Hall Ritchie of Paris, widow of Harmon R. Ritchie, departed this life on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Bourbon Heights, having attained the age of 82 years. She was born on March 14, 1937, in Bourbon County, the daughter of the late William Collins and Nettie Dalzell Hall, was a graduate of Paris High School, attended Transylvania College as well as Warner’s Beauty Academy in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was a member of June Stanley Circle, the Lamplite Homemakers, and former owner of Bettie’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Surviving is a daughter, Laura Clark and husband, Bobby; a granddaughter, Jordan Marie Sexe; two grandsons, Andrew Colin Sexe, Alex Clark and wife Courtney; and great grandchildren, Maverick Anderson, Austin, Gracie and Wyatt.
The funeral service for Bettie Bruce Ritchie will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Stanley Linville, Dallas Anderson, Alex Clark, Andrew Colin Sexe, Joseph Sievers, and John Callahan. Honorary bearers are Margaret and Frank Honaker, Linda and Fred Gillispie, Carolyn and Glen Hamilton, Lester Combs, Peggy Horton Powell, Russell and Beverly Lawrence, Mary and Steve Morrison, Mary Ross, Elizabeth Bonnette, the Lamplite Homemakers and the June Stanley Circle.
The family invites friends to call between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Christian Church, PAWS, or Hospice of the Bluegrass. www.hintonturner.com
