Jesse Benjamin Gaunce
Jesse Benjamin Gaunce, husband of Thelma Holland Gaunce, departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2020, at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 94 years. He was born on February 26, 1926, in Bourbon County, the son of the late Kerney and Gracie Martin Gaunce, a United States Army Veteran, having served in World War II; was a retired night watchman, having worked for Normandy Farms for thirty-seven years; loved hunting and fishing; and was a member of Bryan Station Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Morris; a brother, Hampton G. Gaunce; and a sister, Ella Gaunce.
In addition to his wife, Thelma, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Faye Miller; grandchildren Jessica Muddiman, Wayne Miller, Summer Bearse, Tommy Ratliff, Blake Ratliff, Hannah Ratliff; great grandchildren, Cashton Bearse, Kassydi Muddiman, Kalieb Miller, Emily Cuzick, and Abby Cuzick.
The funeral service for Jesse Benjamin Gaunce will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Spears officiating. Interment will be in Paris Cemetery with casket bearers being Mack Lawson, Larry Anderson, Tom Gregory, John Cloyd, and Josiah Spears.
