Anita Dawn Roe

Anita Dawn Roe, 56, died Monday, May 29, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
A native of Bourbon County, she was the daughter of Bonnie Roe Williamson and the late Larry Dean Roe. She was a horse trainer, a retired jockey, a member of NHBPA (National Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association), and a member of Central Baptist Church of Paris, KY.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one brother, Michael Shawn Roe; one stepbrother, Justin Roe; one aunt, Barbara Roe Richardson; a close friend, Randy Preston; her dog, Billy Jean and her horse, Faithful Steps.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grover and Juanita McFarland; paternal grandparents, Ray and Anna Roe; stepfather, David Williamson, and her dog, Will.
A memorial service was conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home.
Visitation was from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the funeral home.
