Tony Michael Barton
Tony Michael Barton, 60, husband of Kimberly Luna Barton for almost 37 years, died at the Advent Health Facility, Altamonte Springs, Florida.
A native of Carlisle, KY, he was the son of Willene Ray Barton and the late Harlan Craig Barton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Andrew (Anna) Brainard; one brother, Rodney (Leeanne) Barton; one sister, Becky (George) Garrett and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy Kendal Barton; one brother, Douglas Craig Barton; and one sister, Sue Feeback.
Tony was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend. His passion for both his family and his son, Andrew’s business was without question and evident in everything he did every day of his life.
Something many may not have known about Tony is that he never graduated high school, but what he lacked in schooling he more than made up for in common sense and experience. He was often told that he had more common sense than 3 people combined and that schooling was overrated. Throughout his career any company he worked for would eventually promote him to management. He has been the General Manager of multimillion-dollar companies and has even owned several of his own companies. The decision to hire him to be the Fleet Manager for TMC (TransMedCare) was a no brainer. Much of the success of TMC is attributed to having such a great leader on the team.
Tony wasn’t just a great leader, but a mentor, and guide. He took the time to listen, teach, and made himself available to anyone 24/7, 365 days a year. Not only was he great with people but was a vehicle whisperer. There wasn’t a mechanical issue that Tony couldn’t figure out or guide you through fixing over the phone.
There will forever be a hole in the heart of our family and the heart of TransMedCare.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main Street., Paris KY by Andrew Brainard and Bro. Steve Smith. The burial will be in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Brainard, Jeff Williams, George Garrett, Taylor Garrett, Daniel Barton and Andy McCarty.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Beauregard and James Laing.
