Lela Marie Rose Putnam

Lela Marie Reese Putnam, 65, wife of Ronald Eugene Putnam for 47 years, died Sunday June 18, 2023, at the Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, KY.
She was born in Chambersburg, PA to the late Jim and Jane Mills Reese. She was a retired Registered Nurse having obtained her master’s degree in nursing from Easter Kentucky University. Lela had been the director of nursing at five different nursing homes and the director of quality control of nursing at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. She loved listening to audio books, music and enjoyed playing the piano.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Eugene Putnam; three children, Randy Putnam, Stephanie Putnam and Lydia Putnam; five grandchildren, Braxton Putnam, Ethan Fobear, Lilly Fobear, Evelyn Tabar and Emil Tabar; three sisters, Sonya Ferber, Teresa Devorak and Carol Hardbarger; three brothers, David Reese, Raymond Reese and Scott Reese and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Phillip Reese and her best friend, Peggy New.
No services are planned at this time.
