Naomi Hellard Curtis

Naomi Hellard Curtis, 82, wife of Larry Edwin Curtis for almost 60 years, died Wednesday June 28, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
She was born in Sand Gap, Ky to the late Glyndon and Hazel Ward Hellard. Naomi worked at Kentucky Textiles for many years and was an exceptionally talented seamstress. She also loved to crochet, help Larry in the garden and was an active member of the High Street Church of Christ for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Edwin Curtis; two sons, Dwight (Colette) Curtis and Damon S. Curtis; two grandchildren, Benjamin Rutledge and Hailey Elizabeth Rutledge; one brother, Danny Hellard; one sister, Leona Smith and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Gwendolyn “Dawn” Rutledge and one brother, Wallie Hellard.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Monday July 3, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris. KY by Eddie Pagan and Phil Morgan. Burial followed in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.
Visitation was from 12:00 PM Monday July 3, 2023, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Dwight Curtis, Damon S. Curtis, Benjamin Rutledge, Phil Morgan, Kevin Hensley and Charlie Farmer.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main Street., Paris, KY.
