James D’Shawn Washington

James D’Shawn Washington, 28, died Saturday August 12, 2023, at his home in Bronston, KY.

He was an employee of UGN in Somerset, KY, member of Veaches Chapel CME and loved spending time with his kids, grilling out/cooking and playing video games.  He was also a 2013 graduate of Paris High School where he played basketball and football.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nikki (Robert) Washington Maggard; three children, Khiyah Washington-Marks, Amiyah Washington-Marks and Karter Washington-Marks; girlfriend, Alixis Burton; three brothers, Jamaal Washington, Rashaun Myers and Aaron Maggard; grandparents, Craig (Sheila) Clark; three uncles, Brian Washington, Craig (Goldie) Clark, Jr. and Phillip Holman; one aunt, Stephanie (Andrew) Crawford; four great aunts, Bethany Smithers, Bernette Conner, Clarita Williams and Barbara Clark; three great uncles, Hal Clark, Dewayne Clark and Woody (Bobbie) Clark and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Tyra Myers; Grandmother, Bernice Washington; special aunt, Lynnette Clark and two uncles, Brian Clark and Vincent (Renetta) Clark.

Private graveside services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey at the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY

Public visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday August 17, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
