Louise Katherine Johnson Jones (May 7, 1930 — November 2, 2023)

At her residence in Nicholasville, Kentucky, on the 2nd Day of November, 2023, Louise Katherine Johnson Jones, 93, was called home to her eternal rest after a long illness with dementia. She was born on May 7, 1930, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, to the late Owen Fisher Johnson and Sarah Ann Billings Johnson.

A widow of 17 years, Louise was the beloved wife of the late Lester Allen Jones, Sr. Their union of 59 years was blessed with eight children: Johnny Allen Jones (Jerrie); the late Gail Lee Jones; the late Linda Sue Jones Fowler; Lester Allen Jones, Jr. (Charlene); Bonnie Lou Jones Burke (Allen); Carl Davis Jones; Danny Clay Jones (Sherry); and Barbara Ann Jones Smithson. Louise was the grandmother of twelve grandchildren and two step-grandchildren: Tracy Lynn Jones; Gail Lee Jones, Jr.; Louis Allen Jones; Michael Dee Fowler; the late David Allen Fowler; Derrick Allen Jones; Isaac Emmanuel Jones; James Ronald McClurg, Jr.; Rachael Louise McClurg Wallace; Brian Keith McClurg; Ashley Rose Smithson Mansfield; and Adam Douglas Smithson. Step-grandchildren: Heather Michelle West and Marvin Earl West, Jr. She also had numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Louise was the sister of the late Billy Redmond Johnson and the late Edna Bernice Johnson Lynch. She was the niece of a special aunt, the late Goldie Katherine Coffey Long; and a special cousin of the late Charles William Martin, the late Mary Agnes Martin Whalen, and the late Betty Jean Martin Jones.

Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Derrick Jones officiating. Casket bearers will be Ronald McClurg, Brian McClurg, Derrick Jones, Isaac Jones, Allen Burke, Travis Wallace.
