William C. “Buddy” Mason

William C. “Buddy” Mason, of Paris, departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, having attained the age of 68 years. Buddy was born on May 24, 1955, in Paris, KY the son of the late Billy Allen and Nancy Lee Dragoo Mason, a 1973 graduate of Bourbon County High School where he was an active member of the F.F.A., as well as the Bourbon County Young Farmers, KY Pork Producers Association, attended the University of Kentucky, was an employee of Southern States, a farmer, and attended Old Union Christian Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Amanda Lee Mason (Dustin); a son, William “Billy” Mason; a brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Mason; and a sister, Beverly K. Mason (Robert) O’Neal. Also surviving is his grandson, Charles Allen Ortiz; the mother of his children, Annie Mason; his beloved dog, Alice; a nephew, John Allen (Amy) Mason, a niece, Jamie Kay Mason; and two great nieces, Molly and Mia Mason.

The funeral service for William C. “Buddy” Mason will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bales and Rev. Scott Winkler officiating. Interment will follow in the Millersburg cemetery with casket bearers being Billy Mason, John Allen Mason, Jamie Kay Mason, Gip Carr, Perry Eugene Hutson, and Dustin Ortiz. Honorary bearers are Monte Wells, Clarence Abney, Jay Rankin, Jimmy Mason, Robert O’Neal, Shonda Mingua, Keith Waugh, Claude Berry, Donnie Foley, Gene Thomas, Ricky Mingua, Henry Norris, Jim Cleaver, John Fritsch, and the employees of Southern States. Visitation was on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. www.hintonturner.com
