Dennis Wayne Hinkle

Dennis Wayne Hinkle, husband of Cynthia Hinkle, of Paris, departed this life on Tuesday, January 09, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center having attained the age of 75 years. Dennis was born in Paris on October 5, 1948, the son of the late Clarence Aldridge Hinkle and Esther Ruth Scott, who survives. After graduating from Paris High School in 1966, he served as Sgt. in the Army, went to work for IBM, later joining the Army Corps of Engineers, and later retiring from IBM after returning to work there. He opened his own business and was the owner of Hinkle Photography until becoming a crane operator of Toyota Tsusho. After retiring from his job at Toyota, he returned to his love of photography taking various photos of God’s beautiful creation, and then worked for a delivery driver for KOI. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a wonderful husband and father.

In addition to his mother Ruth, and wife Cynthia, he is survived by two sons, Shane (Heather) Hinkle, Damon Lee Hinkle; sister-in-law, Shana (Chris) Jones; brother-in-law, R.D. Hash, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Susan Hash. Also surviving are his siblings, Kristie Harrod, Mark Linville, Gary Hinkle; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dennis Hash.

The funeral service for Dennis Wayne Hinkle will be at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kyle Sullivan officiating. Interment to follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with casket bearers being Zack Jones, Matthew Hash, Chris Jones, R.D. Hash, Tyler Hash, Aiden Jones, Charlie Pope, and Tyler Garret. Honorary bearers are the Deacons at First Baptist Church, Dwight Dotson, Steve Lewis, Alan Dale Scott, and Raymond Kitchen. Visitation will be on Monday evening at First Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 919 Pleasant Street, Paris, KY 40361.
