Lisa Brown-Hill-Starks

Lisa Brown-Hill-Starks, 58, departed this life on January 22, 2024, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital, Cincinnati, OH.

She was born on May 15, 1965, in Paris, KY to Henry Edward Brown, Jr. and the late Bertha Rebecca Rankin-Brown. Lisa was a successful track runner at Bourbon County High School and a horse walker at The Training Center in Lexington, KY, which led her to Chicago, IL Sportsman’s Park racetrack, where she met her husband and started her family. After raising her two daughters, she returned to work at the University of Kentucky and Right at Home, where she was a caregiver. She also enjoyed canning vegetables and sewing.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Michael Hill; two grandmothers, Loretta Henson and Thelma Nutter (both age of 97); two children, Secura Brown and Serina Hill; four grandchildren, Rashia Hill, Raydin Hill, Riyan Hill and Celestia Barnes; two siblings, LeAnn (Tommy) Walker and Victor McKee and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 27, 2024, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 27, 2024, until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Devin Walker, Pervis Dumphord, Keith Bullock, Antwan Smith, Antwan Morris, Jr. and Isiah Stout.

There will be a repass at the Paris Lion’s Club, 329 Pleasant St., Paris, KY.
