Phyllis Ann Woodward Reed

Phyllis Ann Woodward Reed, age 83, of Paris, departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Bourbon Height Nursing Facility. Phyllis was born in Paris, Kentucky on June 14, 1941, the daughter of the late John G. and Ruth Elizabeth Eads Woodward, was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, a homemaker, caregiver, and a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca “Becky” Roy, and a nephew, John McCarty.
Surviving is Gary Reed; a sister, Linda (Wilburn) McCarty; a stepdaughter, Melody Reed; grandchildren, Tyler Reed, Aeris Tervil, Jacari Banks, Taevon Banks; a brother-in-law, Gene Roy; two nieces, Karen (Dan) Donovan, Samantha (Justin) Brown; several great nieces and great nephews; and her beloved roommate, Gilda Vice.
The funeral service for Phyllis Ann Woodward Reed was at 12 noon on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Interment followed in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Tyler Reed, Aeris Tervil, Jacari Banks, Taevon Banks, Dan Donovan, and Justin Brown. Honorary bearers were the Bourbon Heights Nursing Facility staff. Visitation began at 10:30 a.m. until time for the service.
