William graduated from Taylor High School. He went on to build a respected career as a master mechanic and service manager, where his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic earned the confidence of those around him. He took pride in doing a job well and was known for his dependable nature and practical wisdom. His professional life reflected the same steady character that guided him in all things.
He was also active in several fraternal organizations and was a proud member of the Masonic organization, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. These affiliations were important to him, and he valued the fellowship, service, and tradition they represented. William lived his life with integrity and a sense of purpose, and he was respected by many for the example he set.
A Christian by faith and member of the Bedford Acres Christian Church, William found strength and comfort in his beliefs. He lived with a spirit of kindness, humor, and generosity that touched everyone who knew him. He was humorous and loving, and those qualities made him a joy to be around. He especially enjoyed working on and showing classic cars, and he took great pride in his 1951 Mercury, affectionately named “Dragon Lady.” He was a member of the Bourbon Street Cruisers and enjoyed the camaraderie that came with sharing his passion for automobiles.
William also loved yard work, landscaping, and simply being outdoors. He found satisfaction in staying active and taking care of the spaces around him. Whether he was tending to his yard, admiring a classic car, or spending time with family and friends, he approached life with enthusiasm and appreciation.
