John Siegfrid Anderson, Jr.

John Siegfrid Anderson, Jr., widower of Mary Josephine Anderson, departed this life on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at his private residence, BoCo Farm on Bethlehem Road in Paris, Kentucky, at the age of 93. John was born in Trenton, New Jersey on December 16, 1931, was the son of the late John Siegfrid of Larvik, Norway and Anna Mae McKenna Anderson of Lexington. He was a 1954 graduate of the University of Kentucky, College of Engineering where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a founding partner in the consulting engineering firm of Adams-Frazier-Anderson, and later, was the principal in JSA Engineers. He served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, William A. Anderson, Charles M. Anderson, Sr., and Dr. Joseph Anderson.
Surviving are his six children; Jennifer Jean Anderson (Chris), John S. “Basie” Anderson, III, Juliana Marie “Juli” (Joe) Norton, Joseph Patrick “Pat” (Jamie) Anderson, Mary Josephine “Jody” (Roy) Horner, Heidi Katherine (Jonatan) Montaño; grandchildren, Juliana Hain, Joseph Norton, Patrick Norton, Andy Norton, Martin Norton, Jerome Norton, Cecilia Norton, Jenny Hash, Maggie Booker, Seth Anderson, Claire French, Wally Horner, Hillary Horner, Francis Horner, Gordon Horner, Eleanor Marra, Adam Anderson, Zoe Jane Youse, and Nora Youse. Also surviving are twenty-nine great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Saint Peter Catholic Church, Lexington, KY, with Rev. Daniel Fister officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation was on Thursday evening, December 26, 2024, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. FTB.
