William A. Conn, Sr.

William A. Conn, Sr., 80, widower of the late Jennie Peῆa Conn, died Friday February 19, 2021.
He was born in Lancaster, KY to the late William W. and Jessie Roberts Conn. He was a retired estimator for Fortune Collision, an agent for New York Life Insurance Company and the body shop manager for John Cooke Motors. Bill was a charter member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Lexington and a long time member of David’s Fork Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school director and sang in the choir.
He is survived by three children, William A. (Emma) Conn, Jr., Lydia (Tony) Sosby and Laura (Kevin) Warner; seven grandchildren, Billy Conn, Andrew (Andrea) Sosby, Nicholas (Courtlyn) Sosby, Miranda (Logan) Martin, Erin (Owen) Worthing, Elissa Warner and Laney Warner; two sisters, Jessie Ray Herzog and Alma Williams; and six great grandsons, John Henry Sosby, Louie Sosby, Hudson Sosby, Barrett Martin, Walter Martin and Ezra Worthing; brother-in-law, Greg (Cheryl) Peῆa and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, by Rev. Alan Dodson at the Central Baptist Church, 829 High St., Paris, KY. Burial was in the Clintonville Cemetery.
Visitation is private.
Pallbearers will be Billy Conn, Andrew Sosby, Nick Sosby, Logan Martin, Owen Worthing and Wesley Robinson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 4451 Winchester Rd., Lexington, KY 40509 and to Central Baptist Church, 829 High St., Paris, KY 40361.
The service was live streamed on Central Baptist Church Facebook page and a video recording will be placed later on Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home’s Youtube channel.
