Dr. Harry Lee Galloway
Dr. Harry Lee Galloway, 83, of Whiteville, formerly of Paris, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Galloway and Paulina Owen, one daughter, Sheila G. Lanier, two brothers, Jessie and John Galloway, and four sisters: Margie Crawford, Vivian Mercer, Barbara Bands and Paula Carter.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sue T. Galloway of the home; two sons, Jeff Galloway of Myrtle Beach and Dwight Galloway of Cosby, Tennessee; one son-in-law Kim Lanier of Clarendon; three daughters, Gaye G. Davis (Michael) of Bladenboro; Amanda G. Sykes (Greg) of Bladenboro and Shonta G. Clemmons (Kevin) of Whiteville; one sister-in-law, Karen Galloway of Paris, KY; eight grandchildren: Josh Galloway, Keyna L. Floyd (Darris), Jordan Lanier (Brittany), Blake Sykes (Autumn), Kaitlyn Sykes, Mallory Davis, Kassie Clemmons and Raegan Davis (Addison), six great grandchildren: Maci Sykes, Addie Claire Floyd, Gunner Lanier, Axel Marlowe, Addison Stevens and Harper Stevens, and his fur baby Bella.
Dr. Galloway loved his family especially his wife Sue who was the love of his life. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, his two sons and his four daughters. Dr. Galloway enjoyed playing golf, fishing, traveling, puzzles, and word searches. He also enjoyed watching tv and eating popcorn. His real passion was his work and his patients. He put his heart and soul into their care. He has left shoes that can never be filled and will be missed a great deal.
A funeral service was held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Whiteville with Rev. Allen Thompson Jr. officiating.
Burial took place on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. All attendees were asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
