Addie Lee Sanders Green, 97, widow of the late Claude Dailey “Buddy” Green, died Tuesday April 19, 2022 at her home.
She was born in Nicholas County, KY to the late Edwin Dean and Pevy M. Kenney Sanders. She was a retired Nurse’s Aide, having worked at the T.B. Hospital and Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. She also worked for several years at the Bourbon Drive-In in the ticket office and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, Paris, KY. Addie loved to travel and had been in almost every state and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Ruth Green and Linda Faye Green and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Alma Sanders, Marietta LaMay, Evelyn Spiegels and Margaret Barnett and five brothers, James Sanders, Hanson Sanders, Edwin Sanders, Seth Sanders and Blanton Sanders.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday April 22, 2022 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Kyle Sullivan and Rev. Don Reed. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Friday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Woody Richie, Bill Johnson, Russell Sanders, Don Green, Tony Potter and Phil Hurst.
The family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 919 Pleasant St., Paris, KY 40361.
