Billy Joe Clifton

Billy Joe Clifton, 68, husband of Deborah Edgington Clifton, died Tuesday August 29, 2023, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana, KY.

Born in Paris, KY, he was the son of Kathleen Buckler Clifton and the late Jackie Dean Clifton. He was a member of the Christian Faith Center and a retired horseman of 30 years.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Tabitha (Terry) Denton and Melissa Clifton (Willie Crump); one brother, George Clifton; seven grandchildren, Trent Denton, Tori Denton (Dakota Jones), Elijah Brummett, Dylan Clifton, Alani Thornton, Ethan Clifton and Ira Clifton; one step grandchild, Meradyn Crump; one great-grandchild, Waylon Jones; one brother in law, Kenneth Wayne Edginton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one son, Billy Wayne Clifton and one brother, James Clifton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2023, at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main Street, Paris, KY by George Clifton and Kim Smith.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the funeral home.
