Sandra “Sandy” Sue Kidd

Sandra “Sandy” Sue Kidd, beloved partner of Christy Jones, departed this world on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 9, 1972, in Lexington, KY, to the late Hughie C. Kidd, Jr. and Helen Lois Breeze Kidd, and brought light and joy to all who knew her throughout her 52 years.
Sandy’s nurturing spirit graced the Fayette County School District, where she lovingly served as a school bus driver, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of countless children over the years. She was a cherished member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church community, where her faith shone brightly through her active involvement and the melodious voice with which she sang Christian music.
Sandy’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds, as did her love for her partner, Christy Jones, and their beloved emotional support dog and other fur babies. Along with Christy, Sandy is survived by her five siblings: Wayne, Floyd, Tammie (Charlie) Blankenship, Larry (Bonnie), and Jody Kidd, as well as numerous adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will forever continue her legacy of love and compassion and a loving friend Sandy Breeding. She is also survived by Christy’s sisters, Julie Christopher and Kimberly Snapp. Sandy’s gentle spirit and faith-filled heart will be deeply missed by all fortunate to have crossed her path.
Graveside services will conduct at 1:00 PM Tuesday December 31, 2024, at the Clintonville Cemetery, 168 Austerlitz Rd., Paris, KY by Bro. Dewayne Walker.
